This is not your basic "senior portrait" experience and we are certainly not your typical studio. You're about as ordinary as a pair of ruby slipper's at Wal-Mart, and THE ruby slipper's aren't one-size-fits-all. Your session should reflect that, not deliver the same basic images as all your friends.

Hi!! Im Kristin- I'm the one in the middle of these amazing girls!! Im so glad you have come to my site and are interested in working with me. So- let's get down to it!!

I believe in memories and moments and all the tiny unforgettable things that happen in between. My clients trust me because I know trust is earned, and I work hard to earn it. Most of all, I honestly, furiously love what I do. I also believe you should also be able to post your images online. Social Media gets a bad rap (sometimes deservingly so) but you AND your parents want to share the images we create together and I want you to. You’ll get shareable images with every collection.

To start, this is more than your basic senior portrait experience that you get for the yearbook. I believe that this time in your life is not only special – it’s monumental. All the football games, the after-game parties, the dances, the nights out with friends and the CONCERTS! - All of it’s going to be gone in the blink of an eye.


My sessions are about having fun and letting your personality shine through. We document this time giving you an experience you will never forget.

I created this niche of high-end Senior Portraits in the Pittsburgh PA area in 2012 because there was literally nothing like it…And now we have our main studio in Central Virginia. Every teenager I talked to hated their pics from the school’s contracted photographer - because let's face it they are BORING and cookie-cutter images. Let's face it - your parents are spending a lot of $$$ on these images, do you really want to be the same as Susie next door??

QUESTION 01 : DO YOU PROVIDE A HAIR & MAKEUP SERVICE?
Absolutely! We work with some of the best artists in the area and can help set up this service for you. What most people don’t understand is that there is “everyday makeup,” and there is “camera-ready makeup,” and they are VASTLY different. Most everyday makeup is good enough for the daylight and indoor lighting, but it wears off quickly, doesn’t even out skin tones for the camera, and it can even create shine and other issues when it reacts with the flash. I encourage my clients to grab a nice dinner or a night on the town after their shoot to celebrate AND get the most out of their hair and makeup!

QUESTION 02 : HOW LONG WILL MY SHOOT BE?
Depending on what package you choose will determine how long your session will be. You can read more about our packages by contacting us and we will send you more info. Most clients spend about 5 hrs with us between hair/makeup and their session.

QUESTION 03 : WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We offer a wardrobe consult as part of your session and help you select what outfits will photograph best. We also provide a thorough wardrobe guide to aid you in selecting your outfits. 

QUESTION 04 : I'M NERVOUS ABOUT MY SESSION. WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST?
No worries we will be texting back and forth way before your session about many things to prep you. We also have a consultation before the session that allows us to answer all your questions. You will also receive a questionnaire to help me get to know you better. This way we can ease any nerves and get a better idea of your style.


question 05 : when are shoots scheduled?
senior sessions are shot on tuesday, wednesday, & thursday all year long. monday and friday are reserved for rain-out days, with some Friday exceptions.  

question 06 : i’m so not photogenic. i know that’s not a question, but…
this is probably the most common thing i hear from clients, and i totally get it. 
i believe that everyone is photogenic – they just haven’t found the right photographer. that’s where our experience comes in. we work with all clients on posing, facial expressions, wardrobe, hair, and makeup. we provide a full service experience, and we carefully guide each person through the process to create a completely customized photo shoot.

question 07 : how early should i book?
at least 2-3 months in advance. especially for peak season from june-october as these book up really quick!! remember we only shoot 2-3 days per week in order to give our clients the personalized experience we are known for. 

question 08 : how can i become one of your influencers?
we are so glad you asked! we would love for you to become one of our influencers! click here and fill out our application.but we only accept influencers during select time of the year so make sure we are recruiting first.

This is for you MOM and DAD and …. I’m going to be real honest with you …

My studio is BOUTIQUE STUDIO. What does that mean?? I customize senior sessions for each client - no one session is the same. What I do is way more entailed and customized than most photographers; however, I will always – always work with clients on getting what they want from their senior portrait experience with me. The experience you will receive from my studio is unparalleled. I will always be up front with you and I will not hide information. I never want you to feel in the dark or worried. 

I realize my studio is not feasible for every family … but I put all of myself into these sessions and pride myself on giving these teenagers far more than just “cool photos”. My MAIN goal is to help them feel valued and “seen”, to help build their confidence, to connect with them. I only shoot about 50 seniors per year – by choice (my sessions sell out every year) – in order for me to deliver this type of service and I spend a great deal of time and energy on each client. I am going to walk you through every step of planning this photoshoot. You will receive an in depth How to Prepare guide. We will create a vision board to hone in on their style and what they really want out of their session. I am going to work with your child on selecting their outfits. I will guide you on Hair and Makeup. I send your child a questionnaire so I can get to know them and what they love to plan the perfect session. I start talking with them way before their session date so we feel like we are already friends when they arrive for their shoot. This goes A LONG WAY to making them comfortable in front of my camera- and you will see this translate in their images. I aim to give each one of my clients a unique experience to showcase their individuality, There are NO "cookie-cutter" images at my studio. I walk you through posing that fits your personality and style. I will walk you through everything and will leave no questions unanswered or you wondering what happens next. 

My sessions start at $200, collections begin at $650 and there is a $600 minimum order requirement. Most clients spend $1200-1800 on the entire experience but I work with families of all budgets and I offer a la carte options too so you only purchase what you need, not fluff.  I offer payment plans and I also allow clients to pre-purchase collections in advance, so there are various options to go over. If you are looking for something simple I do offer mini sessions twice in the Fall where there are no minimums just a low cost set price (please inquire for details). 

And, if COST is the only thing holding you back, I will say this: Nobody EVER regretted getting beautiful images made of their child. You can’t get this time back and I will work with you to make this the BEST experience and memorable moment for you and your child. Feel free to reach out with any questions!

Once you have booked your date with us, I am going to send you a detailed questionnaire. This step is VERY important and I need you to be very honest when answering all the questions bc it will lay the foundation for our time together. If you have any concerns this is the place to let me know. Through the questionnaire I will get a glimpse into your personality so I can make you SHINE!!

wardrobe/session consult

When we are about 1-2 weeks away from your session date we will do a wardrobe and session consult. We will guide you every step of the way to make sure you are wearing the right clothing and choose the perfect accessories. We include a WARDROBE CONSULT with each of our sessions. This is extremely important as it can certainly make or break your images. #1 FACT!! - An outfit may look great in person but it does not mean it will necessarily photograph well. The camera cannot read the lines of your body if it cannot see them. You know that flowy shirt or bulky jacket you love?? Most likely it will photograph like a sack, bc the camera cannot read YOU. 

We have studied fashion and know what works with many body types. After we have your wardrobe selected we will discuss locations that translate best for your selections. We make sure all the little details are carefully planned so you arrive totally prepared.

Even though you do a great job on your own makeup, the makeup needed for photography is a whole different ball game!! Although makeup is an option, it is something we HIGHLY recommend. We are very fortunate to work with one of THE BEST stylists in the area and they know just how to glam you up. Each of you are unique and so we do not have a "one size fits all", we customize styling for each client. WE BELIEVE IN ENHANCING YOUR NATURAL BEAUTY, NOT CHANGING WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE.

the Photoshoot

The BIG day!!! This is the moment we've been preparing for! Leave the nerves at home ;-) I will guide you in EVERY step, EVERY pose. I promise this will be a walk in the park. I may have some funny methods - my clients have looked at me like we was nuts more than once, BUT my methods work! and I am known for my expertise in posing and lighting and getting those authentic shots. You will look back at this day and laugh at how much fun and easy your experience was. 

Most of you will meet us for hair and makeup before your session. If your session includes professional hair and makeup you will arrive with a clean face and hair washed and dried. We will spend about 1.5 hrs for styling and then head out on location for your SHOOT.

ALL WE ASK... is for you to come ready to let loose and have fun and let us take care of the rest.

After your session we will select a date about two weeks after your session for your ORDER APPOINTMENT. Be sure to have all of the decision makers at this appointment, this is when your order WILL BE placed. 

Each one of our clients have said "I do not know how we will choose!!" DO NOT WORRY, we have developed a streamlined simple process to help you choose your favorite images and select what products are best for you. We won't torture you by leaving you in front of an online gallery frustrated because you can't decide. I will be there every step of the way to help you select what is best for you and YOUR family.
