I specialize in empowering + intimate portraiture photography that helps you fall deeper in love with yourself.  Regardless of your age, gender, body-type, size… the self-love experience is for everyone. We are exposed to the continued message that we should take up less space, lose weight, tighten our skin, die our hair, alter our bodies. It’s completely frustrating and I am here to change that narrative. 

As a woman I understand the daily grind and the weight we carry on our shoulders. QUESTION 01 : DO YOU PROVIDE A HAIR & MAKEUP SERVICE?
Absolutely! We work with some of the best artists in the area and can help set up this service for you. What most people don’t understand is that there is “everyday makeup,” and there is “camera-ready makeup,” and they are VASTLY different. Most everyday makeup is good enough for the daylight and indoor lighting, but it wears off quickly, doesn’t even out skin tones for the camera, and it can even create shine and other issues when it reacts with the flash. I encourage my clients to grab a nice dinner or a night on the town after their shoot to celebrate AND get the most out of their hair and makeup!

QUESTION 02 : HOW LONG WILL MY SHOOT BE?
Depending on what package you choose will determine how long your session will be. You can read more about our packages by contacting us and we will send you more info. Most clients spend about 5 hrs with us between hair/makeup and their session.

QUESTION 03 : WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We offer a wardrobe consult as part of your session and help you select what outfits will photograph best. We also provide a thorough wardrobe guide to aid you in selecting your outfits. 

QUESTION 04 : I'M NERVOUS ABOUT MY SESSION. WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST?
No worries we will be texting back and forth way before your session about many things to prep you. We also have a consultation before the session that allows us to answer all your questions. You will also receive a questionnaire to help me get to know you better. This way we can ease any nerves and get a better idea of your style.


question 05 : when are shoots scheduled?
sessions are available MOnday -Friday

question 06 : i’m so not photogenic. i know that’s not a question, but…
this is probably the most common thing i hear from clients, and i totally get it. 
i believe that everyone is photogenic – they just haven’t found the right photographer. that’s where our experience comes in. we work with all clients on posing, facial expressions, wardrobe, hair, and makeup. we provide a full service experience, and we carefully guide each person through the process to create a completely customized photo shoot.

question 07 : how early should i book?
at least 2-3 months in advance. especially for peak season from june-october as these book up really quick!! remember we only shoot 2-3 days per week in order to give our clients the personalized experience we are known for. 

question 08 : how can i become one of your influencers?
we are so glad you asked! we would love for you to become one of our influencers! Email me for our application.but we only accept influencers during select time of the year so make sure we are recruiting first.

This is looming question and .... I’m going to be real honest with you …

My studio is probably one of the more expensive studios in the Central VA area in terms of investment. BUT what I do is way more entailed and customized than most photographers; however, I will always – always work with clients on getting what they want from their portrait experience with me. The experience you will receive from my studio is unparalleled. I will always be up front with you and I will not hide information. I never want you to feel in the dark or worried. 

I realize my studio is not feasible for everyone … but I put all of myself into these sessions and pride myself on giving you more than just “sexy photos”. My MAIN goal is to help you feel valued and “seen”, to help build YOUR confidence, to connect with you. I only shoot about 50 clients per year – by choice (my sessions sell out every year) – in order for me to deliver this type of service and I spend a great deal of time and energy on each client. I am going to walk you through every step of planning this photoshoot. You will receive an in depth How to Prepare guide, I am going to work with you on selecting your outfits. I will guide you on Hair and Makeup. I will send you a questionnaire, so I can get to know you, so we can plan the perfect session. I start your planning way before your session date so we will feel like we are already friends when you arrive for your shoot. This goes A LONG WAY to making you comfortable in front of my camera- and you will see this translate in your images.  There are NO "cookie-cutter" images at my studio. I walk you through posing that fits your personality, comfort level and style. 

My sessions start at $295, luxury collections begin at $850 and prints start at $55; however, most clients spend an average of $1800-2600 on their entire experience. I offer payment plans and I also allow clients to pre-purchase collections in advance, so there are various options to go over. 

And, if COST is the only thing holding you back, I will say this: Nobody EVER regretted getting stunning images of theirselves and reaffirming their self confidence. You can’t get this time back and I will work with you to make this the BEST experience and memorable moment for you. Feel free to reach out with any questions!

This step is VERY important and I need you to be very honest when answering all the questions bc it will lay the foundation for our time together. wardrobe/session consult

When we are about 1-2 weeks away from your session date we will do a wardrobe and session consult. I will guide you every step of the way to make sure you are wearing the right clothing and choose the perfect accessories. We include a WARDROBE CONSULT with each of our sessions. This is extremely important as it can certainly make or break your images. #1 FACT!! - An outfit may look great in person but it does not mean it will necessarily photograph well. 

I have an extensive knowledge of wardrobe and  know what works with many body types. I make sure all the little details are carefully planned so you arrive totally prepared.

Even though you do a great job on your own makeup, the makeup needed for photography is a whole different ball game!! Sit back, relax and let us pamper you for a day!!  Each of you are unique and so we do not have a "one size fits all", we customize styling for each client. WE BELIEVE IN ENHANCING YOUR NATURAL BEAUTY, NOT CHANGING WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE.

the Photoshoot

The BIG day!!! This is the moment we've been preparing for! Leave the nerves at home ;-) I will guide you in EVERY step, EVERY pose. I promise this will be a walk in the park. I may have some funny methods - my clients have looked at me like we was nuts more than once, BUT my methods work! and I am known for my expertise in posing and lighting and getting those authentic shots. You will look back at this day and laugh at how much fun and easy your experience was. 

We will start with hair and makeup then move into wardrobe selections and then onto your shoot. 

ALL I ASK... is for you to come ready to let loose and have fun and let us take care of the rest.

select + order

After your session we will select a date about two weeks after your session for your ORDER APPOINTMENT. Be sure to have all of the decision makers at this appointment, this is when your order WILL BE placed. 

Each one of our clients have said "I do not know how I will choose!!" DO NOT WORRY, I have developed a streamlined simple process to help you choose your favorite images and select what products are best for you. We won't torture you by leaving you in front of an online gallery frustrated because you can't decide. I will be there every step of the way to help you select what is best for YOU.
